cat scratch fever

One of Ben's token moves is this thing he does with his hands as he falling asleep. He opens and closes his hands , making a fist and kind of scratches my arm, neck, leg, whatever is closest to his hand. He also likes to hold his head in his hand and shake his head against his palm.

It's terribly cute.

However, the last few days, he's combined the two and his forehead is paying the price. LET THE RECORD SHOW - I have clipped this boy's nails three times in the last two days trying to stop this problem. He went to day care today with two scratches. He came home with many more. I'm not sure how to stop him, besides filling his hands with his lovie whenever possible or keeping him in a hat and mittens.

Any ideas?

He kind of looks like he got into a cat fight, doesn't he?

Of course, his six month pictures are scheduled for Saturday. Stinker!!!

I've got nothin'!
Abbie fell into a wall two days before her 1-year pics. We had to reschedule for a month later because of the damage it did. Silly kids...not so concerned with the milestone pictures, are they?!
