Day in the life

Many of you have asked, "So what do you do on Wednesdays when you're home with Ben?"
I never know what to say - so far, every week's been different than the last.
Yesterday was a perfectly random day.
No plans at all, but never a dull moment.
Here's what it looked like:

5am
Ben up to nurse

5:45
Keith out of bed for work, Ben and I back in. He sleeps in if he's not alone. Therefore, he rarely sleeps alone on Wednesday mornings!

7:30am
up for good.

8- 9
Play, balance check book, play, pay some bills, play, work e-mails, play.

9 - 9:30ish?
made baby food, fed Ben bananas, got us both dressed

9:45
nap time for Ben. I updated his blog.

10:30
Up from nap.

10:45
Off to the farmers' market. Didn't last long - all they had was asparagus, and lots and lots of plants.

Headed across town to run some errands. Called to check in on a friend who's two weeks past her due date - she was in the hospital for induction - we went for a quick visit.

About those errands.... Spotted a new health food store on the North Side on Sunday - went to see if they had organic produce for Ben. They didn't. Returned surplus purchase of 9mo PJ's at Carters, returned impulse buy shoes to Target.

1:20pm
Back home, eating cereal

1:30pm
Nurse, rock for nap - NO GO. Play. Fuss. Play.

2:30pm
Nap time for real. Keith's home early. Sent him to rent carpet cleaner.

3:30pm
Ben stirs. Keith and I join his nap.

5pm
I'm up from nap. Woa. Laundry.

5:30pm
Boys up from nap. Keith gets to work on the floors. Ben plays.

From there, our evening was a series of dinner, bath, play, rocking, nursing, etc. Like every other evening.

There you have it - a Wednesday with my boy.
