I thought bees made hives

Turns out at our house, eggs make hives.
Making Ben's food, I'm struggling to get him enough protein.
Probably just need to suck it up and put some meat in the food mill, but my book* says to give babies 6mos+ egg yolk at least every other day. I've held off until now, given the allergy potential with egg.
Seems as though I need to hold off a little longer.
These pictures don't do him justice for just how macho our little allergyweenie really is.
But they were taken roughly 2 hours after the first taste of egg yolk.

*The book also says that avocado and millet should be daily staples. They are his other two biggest reactions to date. Maybe I need a new book?

Poor Ben! And poor you. Tryin' to do the good by him and look what's happening. FYI: We skipped the eggs after Abbie had a similar reaction and tried plain tofu in the blender, mixed with a vege instead. Don't know how brave you're feelin', but it's a thought!

I don't know why I suck at beans so much, but I do! Did you used canned? I'll be honest - I'm starting to branch out from the book. I'll work on pureeing some chicken and start feeding him what we eat. And I'll be honest - I'm going to buy some jarred "dinner" meals. That's all there is to it.

Um.. I understand that tofu is not beans. I realize my comment is not a good follow up to yours. My thought process was "Hmm.. I can't make beans work - wonder how much I'll mess up tofu!"
