Keith was camping last night, so Ben and I decided to check out the haps for ourselves.
We had a great day. Ben "slept in" until 6:30 this morning and woke up happy for the first time in a week. (Are there 19 month molars?) We made our way downtown around 10, just as things were kicking off. We both got free admission, each of us on opposite ends of the paid admission spectrum. The weather was downright perfect. And there were no lines for any of the activities until we were ready to leave!
Not many pictures as I was a one-woman show, but we seriously had a blast. I think maybe we'll aim to do more intentional 1:1 time.
Ben loved this girl.

He got to sit in a boat! (and a dump truck, and a garbage truck, and a fire truck, and an ambulance, and a big station wagon.)
We had so much fun that we went back for seconds once Keith got home, after nap time. It was WAY busier, but we did get to check out the art fair, too.
The only real bummer (besides not being able to eat an elephant ear in front of him) was coming home to this:
We didn't eat any fair food. So what is it? Exzema? Heat rash? He had blotches all down one arm, on one thigh, up his neck and across his shoulder blades. Weird. Didn't seem to phase him at all, but we dosed him with benadryl just to be safe.
