It's been a very slow get-to-know you process.
But when walking out of Meijer on Saturday, Ben begged to see her.
Usually he touches a leg and turns away, whining.
This day, he tried to climb up himself. Once he was sitting, he bounced like he was on his Bounce & Spin Pony.

I put in the penny and figured it would be over soon.

But he rode for the whole ride, and was upset when it was over.

Seems my days of a no-change purse are over.

Grace and Sandy have a long standing relationship. Our Meijer{s} had taken Sandy away for a short time because parents weren't abiding by the "pony ride rules" (leaving kids unattended, letting them stand instead of sit) and someone got hurt. Grace was distraught, but thankfully Meijer has brought our beloved Sandy back and generally has pennies to spare at the welcome desk when Mom and Dad don't have one anywhere.
Good ole' Meijer. Keeping Sandy around and not sucumbing to the pressures of inflation.
