Literally

Ben was sincerely disgusted when he spilled juice on his favorite shirt (you know, the one with the hud-ee and keetar) just 5:00 after putting it on yesterday morning.
This kid HATES wet clothing, so we quickly took it off. He kept handing me the shirt and saying, "mommy clean it."
So, I walked him over to the hamper and said, "Okay - just put it in the hamper and then it will get clean."
He proudly threw the shirt in the hamper and said, "Okay!"
He stood there staring at the hamper proudly. I thought he was relishing the big boy moment of completing a chore.
Suddenly his face changed and he said, "mommy - not working."

Woops. Guess I gave the wrong impression about just how effective the whole dirty-hamper-clean process works.

Abbie is the same way about wetness. We have a spare Heepie in her closet, so when somethihng happens, I go into the "magic closet" and reappear with a dry Heepie. Ben is making me wonder if that's such a good idea...

That's hilarious! Ben has busted us for owning two blankies - again recently. He freaked out about needing both at once and I just explained to him that one was dirty, one wasn't and that he only needs one at a time. Amazingly enough, he bought it!
