Stats-ish

Ben had his 12 month well-child visit today.
It included 5 shots and a blood draw. It would have been six shots, but we decided to pass on the flu shot until we introduce egg again. Last time Ben had egg, he got hives which means a pretty negative reaction to the flu shot is likely. No Swine Flu shots yet in Holland aside from those at the Hospital being distributed to the staff only.
And the blood draw? That was to see just how big of an allergy-wienie this kid really is (plus a hemoglobin and lead check, just for good measure).
Although, after the machismo I saw today with 6 big, hard pokes, you'll be hard pressed to hear me call him a wienie for a long time.
The most traumatic event is I lost all the papers about Ben's actual stats and percentiles.
But don't worry - we didn't forget the blankie, pacifier, cheerios or Nilla wafers!
Shouldn't mommies get a treat after a visit like this?!
So without further adieu - Ben's 12.5 month stats are:
21 lbs 14 oz
30.5"
And a huge - and by huge I mean almost off the charts - noggin.
This month's vegetable metaphor? Cherry tomato on a toothpick :)
