Grandma!

Ben is lucky enough to spend every Monday with Grandma Hogan. They had a hiatus for a bunch of weeks while Grandma was traveling, but we're getting back into the groove. It means waking up a little extra early and a 45 minute drive to Grand Rapids with Daddy. When he was itty bitty, the drive was a bit of a gamble. Some times he would sleep, some times he would scream, some times he would talk quietly to himself.

This morning, Keith brought Ben in to wake me up at 6:15am. Ben gave me a big hug and a nice little snuggle and then pushed off and said, "bye-bye."

As soon as Keith turned onto Grandma and Grandpa's street, Ben yelled "Gahma!"
(Seriously... how does he know where we are all the time?!)

Ben and Grandma had a lovely day outside most of the day today.
Soon after the boys got home, we had a guest over for dinner. Ben proceeded to tell Paul all about his day with Gahma. He talked about the birds and the squirrels and the yard and the rake and lots about Gahma. Sometimes he even giggled. I wonder what kind of secrets those two have....

I love the bond between grandparents and their grandkids. It's so sweet and pure fun.
Oh, and Abbie's the same way with locations. We pulled into the mall parking lot yesterday and she started yelling "Princess stamps". We went there to get those back in January. I think they pay more attention than we give them credit for!
