"Ben"

Another first to report!

We were eating out tonight and there was a one year old sitting near us. Ben watched him intently for a while. His demeanor changed (in my opinion) once it dawned on him that he was the big boy between the two of them. He stood proudly and pointed at Keith repeatedly saying "Daddy! That's Daddy."

I finally said, "Yes, Ben - that's Daddy. Thank you."

He smiled, pointed at me, faced the kid and said, "Mommy."

And then immediately placed his flat little palm against his chest and beamed, "Ben."

It's the first I've heard him say his name. I'm not sure which one of us was more proud of him at that moment.
