This year, same weekend, same location - only this time we stayed home on Friday night while the massive storm (not kidding) blew through. We left early Saturday morning with mixed emotions. Keith was thrilled, I was anxious. It was our first time out with the puppy and it was the first time camping since late last summer when Ben was at the peak of his allergic reactions and refusing to sleep anywhere but home. Not fun.
Luckily, this weekend went much better than that. Actually, it really couldn't have gone better. The anal side of me loves that we've got the groove down of our pack - so we know where everything is as everything has its place. Ben went down without a peep and slept through the night until 6:45am. The weather was perfect. It was just all around great. See for yourself.
Visitors! Ben had fun playing with Ezra and Keith had fun playing with Brett on that sailboat you see strapped to the roof. Grandma, Sara N. and I all had fun watching Keith get knocked off the boat!
Master Buh-boh blower.
We found sticks!!! Which is very exciting!!! And is always announced loudly and with enthusiasm!!!
Winding down in Keith's father's day gift - a new camp chair. This is when I realized Ben is behaving more like a boy and less like a baby. "Running off energy" no longer leads to overtired, overstimulated insomnia. He was falling asleep before his head even hit the pillow!
Sunday morning tradition.
Ben offering Molly some water.
And.... testing it for himself.
Helping Daddy get all the air out the mattress. Good thing he's so huge.
Safety first! I still can't believe Molly was such a good sport. Ben keeps asking to go again - it will definitely be soon!

Is there a weekend we can join you? Seriously. Didn't we talk about this or did I just think it?
