'Tis the Season

The tulips are blooming and the wooden shoes are klompen 'round these parts.
So we decided to visit Veldheer Tulip Farms today.
This is your cue to ask: Why today? The tulips aren't all up and it's freezing & super windy!
To which I answer like all good Hollanders: Because it was FREE today! (And, P.S. - the tulips are running 2.5 weeks ahead of schedule. I knew you were curious.)

Not only that, but there were fire trucks and police cruisers there.
At first, Ben couldn't really believe any of it was true.

But it didn't take him long to feel comfortable in the fire truck.

Is this a kid a Hogan or what?!

And if you thought the fire truck was overwhelming, imagine what was going through his head when he met the Bison.
(Yeah... Veldheers is a Tulip Farm AND a Bison Farm. I hear there's something magical about Buffalo Poop.)


That bison was only slightly more crazy than the lady who colored on his face. (he's not upset here - just freezing)

And just to cue the dutch jokes, take a nice look at her basketball. Or orange baseball. Whatev.
